According to previous Journal Times , a deputy found Gary Morawicz, 58, of Racine face down in a ditch with serious injuries after he was struck by a car while riding his motorcycle.

The crash occurred at about 5:40 p.m. August 10, 2024, near the intersection of 108th Street and Highway G in Franksville.

Morawicz was flown to a hospital and later pronounced dead.

Zachar reportedly told deputies she performed a rolling stop at the intersection before the collision.

An on-scene test reportedly showed Zachar’s blood alcohol concentration was 0.167%, which is about double the legal BAC limit, 0.08%, for driving in Wisconsin. Deputies also reported that her eyes were bloodshot and glassy and that her breath smelled of intoxicants.
