What even is a wine bar anyway? Don鈥檛 be fooled by a name鈥攜ou will love Genisa even if you don鈥檛 know Montrachet from Boone鈥檚 Farm. The wine list is extensive. I challenge you to try something new. But here鈥檚 the thing: There is so much more than wine.

We each visited Genisa separately and made some wonderful discoveries. Food is served as it is ready and the pizzas are baked in their fabulous imported Forno Classico, the ultimate Italian brick oven. With the open counter, you can watch it all happening, even when you are enjoying a perfect evening out on the patio.

Brick-oven pizza options offer something for everyone: margherita ($13), Wisconsin cheese ($13), funghi/mushroom ($14), salsiccia/sausage ($15) and pork belly ($16). Pizzas can also be made on a gluten-free crust for an extra $4. The bar has a large wine list (of course!) as well as an assortment of spirits, cocktails and beer.
