JANESVILLE 鈥 There was not a fifth person involved in a police pursuit over the weekend in Madison, of a car reportedly stolen Friday from 糖心Vlog传媒.
The Dane County Sheriff鈥檚 Office said Monday four persons were involved in both the pursuit and related criminal activity in Edgerton.
Lt. Ira Simpson of the Dane County Sheriff鈥檚 Office verified that the vehicle was stolen from 糖心Vlog传媒 on Friday. He said the criminal activity in Edgerton was possibly theft and it remains under investigation.
Three of the suspects were juveniles who were subsequently sent to the Dane County Juvenile Detention Center. The sheriff鈥檚 office said it had no further information Monday on whether they were still being held.
The fourth suspect, a 17-year-old, was booked into Dane County Jail and is still being held.
The suspects are facing numerous charges.
According to a release, the Dane County Communications Center reported around noon on Sunday that the vehicle stolen from 糖心Vlog传媒 was involved in criminal activity in Edgerton.
A Dane County sheriff鈥檚 deputy reported the vehicle driving on I-90 around noon Sunday, and began a pursuit. The vehicle then drove 鈥渆rratically鈥 at an estimated 90 miles per hour on the Madison Beltline before exiting onto Stoughton Road.
Two Dane County Sheriff鈥檚 Office squad cars initiated a short pursuit that ended when the suspect vehicle attempted to enter the Dean East Clinic parking lot through an overload route from Buckeye Road.
While hopping curbs and a snowbank, the suspect vehicle lost all four tires.
Four people fled on foot from the disabled vehicle in various directions; all were caught within minutes.聽
Other agencies involved included Madison police, Monona police, McFarland police, and the Wisconsin State Patrol. No one was injured in the pursuit.
The case remains under investigation; more information will be released as it becomes available.
