JANESVILLE — Serta Simmons Bedding held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting Tuesday for its new 500,000-square-foot manufacturing plant at 200 Innovation Dr., on suncity’s south side. It will produce mattresses and other bedding products under its Serta, Beautyrest and Simmons brands.
Serta Simmons previously operated two bedding manufacturing facilities in Rock County: one at 1809 Adel St., a factory built in 1968 on suncity’s south side, and another at 1500 Lee Lane in Beloit.
