UW-Whitewater Chancellor Dwight Watson is on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation into an unspecified complaint, according to a UW System statement Thursday.

UW-Whitewater officials are reviewing a video posted on social media including racist content involving a student.

After ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ notified UW-Whitewater this week about a pending story on the still unfulfilled records request and sought comment, the public records custodian sent the documents late Tuesday.

Beverly Kopper was on paid leave for eight months last year with her chancellor’s salary before again being on paid leave this fall. Meanwhile, UW-Whitewater is planning for layoffs and budget cuts.

Former UW-Whitewater Chancellor Beverly Kopper is not teaching psychology courses on campus this fall as planned and instead is on paid leave, a university spokesman said Tuesday.

Dwight Watson was one of two finalists for the UW-Whitewater chancellor job along with Interim Chancellor Cheryl Green.

A second finalist has withdrawn his name from consideration to be the next UW-Whitewater chancellor.
