Harrison Butker kicked a pair of field goals in overtime, including a 40-yarder as time expired, giving the Kansas City Chiefs a 33-30 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night. Patrick Mahomes threw for 382 yards and three touchdowns, Kenneth Walker III ran for 117 yards, and Travis Kelce had nine catches for 101 yards and a score for the Chiefs. The game was tied 27-all after regulation and then Butker and the Colts' Spencer Shrader traded field goals in overtime. Kansas City had one last chance with the ball, moved swiftly down the field, and gave Butker a chance to help the Chiefs improve to 2-0 on the season.

The Denver Broncos' defense bounced back after a rough start against Kansas City in the opener. It limited Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville offense to just three points in the second half, allowing the Broncos to rally for a 20-13 win on Sunday. The team focused on fundamentals all week after missing 28 tackles in their previous loss. They held the Jaguars under 100 yards rushing and kept Lawrence from throwing a TD. The Broncos were one of the top defenses in the league last season, and they showed that form.

Two games into the season, the returns aren鈥檛 promising for the Chargers and quarterback Justin Herbert under new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel. Herbert struggled for the second straight week on his home field as Los Angeles fell to 0-2 with its second 26-14 loss this season, this time to the Las Vegas Raiders. Herbert was 15 of 27 for 192 yards with two interceptions and fumbled three times, although the Chargers recovered all three. Known as a passer who put up big numbers in the regular season but struggled in the playoffs, Herbert doesn鈥檛 even have statistics on his side so far in 2026.

Five seasons, three teams and a two-plus-hour weather delay later, Baker Mayfield is still waiting to exact some revenge against his old team. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers star remained winless against the Cleveland Browns after being outplayed by Deshaun Watson. Four years ago, Cleveland decided that Watson was better suited than Mayfield to lead the team in the future. Mayfield completed 21 of 34 passes for 182 yards and one touchdown, but was also sacked three times and threw a first-half interception that the Browns turned into three points. Cleveland went on to win 23-13.
