U.S. star Christian Pulisic makes his first start and scores his first goal of the season with AC Milan. Pulisic scored in the 14th minute to help lead Milan to a 3-0 home win over Lecce in the Italian league on Sunday. Pulisic had made two other appearances with Milan this season in all competitions, coming off the bench in both at halftime. Pulisic鈥檚 last goal for Milan had been in December 2025 in a league win over Verona. 鈥淚t hasn鈥檛 been an easy year,鈥 he told DAZN.

Jos茅 Mourinho has lashed out at the refereeing following 10-man Real Madrid鈥檚 2-1 loss at Atletico Madrid in the Spanish league. Mourinho took a piece of paper with photos to the post-match news conference, saying there were 鈥渢wo clear red cards鈥 that weren鈥檛 shown to Atletico players on Sunday. The Madrid coach then spent nearly five minutes complaining of 鈥渟trange鈥 things that have happened to his team this season and in the past. Until now, the veteran and often outspoken coach had been showing a calmer version of himself after returning for his second stint with Madrid.

Angry Marseille fans have displayed banners hostile to the club鈥檚 American owner, Frank McCourt, at the Ligue 1 match against Paris Saint-Germain. The club has had a rough start to the season, losing four consecutive games. Fans at the Velodrome stadium on Sunday criticized McCourt's "Champions Project," which aimed to return the club to the summit of French soccer and among the European elite. Banners mocked the project's success. McCourt took over in 2016, invested heavily but the club hasn't achieved stability. Marseille missed out on the Champions League and didn't recruit new players this summer. That has left coach Bruno Genesio with limited options.
