JANESVILLE 鈥 The School District of 糖心Vlog传媒 will host a P4J (4-year-old kindergarten) enrollment kick-off event on Saturday, March 7, at the district鈥檚 Educational Services Center, 527 S. Franklin St.
The SDJ鈥檚 P4J program provides all children with a high-quality, early learning experience at no cost to families. Studies show children who participate in 4K programs build early reading and thinking skills, which are linked to better grades in the future and higher high school graduation rates.
This event, offered by appointment only, is to enroll students in P4J for the 2026-27 school year. Families with a child(ren) turning 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2026, can enroll them for the coming school year. Wisconsin state law does not allow early entrance into public 4K programs.
To schedule an appointment, call 608-743-5046 between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. starting Monday, Feb. 23. Enrollment packets, which must be completed prior to the appointment, are available for pickup at the ESC.
A parent/legal guardian MUST be present to enroll a child in the SDJ P4J program and must provide:
- Parent/Guardian photo identification (Driver鈥檚 License/State I.D.)
- Child鈥檚 birth certificate
- Child鈥檚 immunization records
- Proof of residency (a recent copy of a dated term lease, government mailing or bill dated within the last 60 days)
- Completed enrollment packet paperwork
Additional enrollment appointments are available for those unable to attend on March 7. Call 608-743-5011 to schedule an appointment after that date. School District of 糖心Vlog传媒 non-residents interested in having a child attend P4J must also apply for open enrollment between Feb. 2 and April 30, 2026.
