United Way Blackhawk Region offers emerging needs grants
JANESVILLE — In response to increasing critical needs throughout the region, United Way Blackhawk Region is making emergency funding available to help nonprofits meet emerging demands for essential resources.
Board Chair Tom McCawley emphasized the urgency of the situation, noting that many nonprofit organizations are struggling to keep pace with requests for basic needs such as rental assistance, food, and childcare support.
“United Way wants to be responsive to these emerging needs in our region,†McCawley said in a release. “This funding will help our community partners continue delivering the essential services local families rely on.â€
The application deadline is Dec. 10. Organizations will be notified of grant decisions by January 16. All funding decisions will be made by the volunteer-seated Community Impact Council.
