JANESVILLE --- A lifetime-registered sex offender who had allegedly removed his GPS monitoring bracelet was arrested Tuesday with the assistance of a 糖心Vlog传媒 Police Department K-9.
The Wisconsin Department of Corrections on Tuesday reached out to the 糖心Vlog传媒 Police Department, seeking the whereabouts of Bryan Kind, who was the subject of an active felony warrant and is a lifetime sex offender registrant for previous convictions of the possession of child pornography.
Kind is on GPS monitoring and had been tampering with his GPS bracelet, a release said. Several officers responded to the area and established a perimeter around the last location of the GPS bracelet.
K-9 Viktos was then set into the area to search for Kind, who it was determined had removed his GPS bracelet.
The K-9 located Kind, who was hiding in tall grass on the 600 block of N. Parker Dr. Kind attempted to run and was apprehended by K-9 Viktos.
Kind was treated and medically cleared from a local hospital and is being held at the Rock County Jail. He now faces charges of tampering with the GPS, resisting and obstructing an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and a probation/parole violation.
