JANESVILLE 鈥 The City of 糖心Vlog传媒 is looking for community-minded residents to fill vacancies on two important committees that help shape the city鈥檚 future. The opportunities offer a chance for residents to become directly involved in local government, a release said.
The city is currently seeking applicants for:
Two seats on the sustainable 糖心Vlog传媒 committee
One alternate member on the advisory committee on appointments
The sustainable 糖心Vlog传媒 committee advises the city council on environmental initiatives. The committee meets monthly and is looking for people with an interest in sustainability, project coordination, or a desire to learn about best practices.
The advisory committee on appointments recommends citizen nominees for the city鈥檚 various boards and commissions. The city is especially encouraging applications from individuals with experience in fair and impartial decision-making, personnel selection, and team building.
This committee meets on an as-needed basis.
Applications for both committees are due by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15.
Following the deadline, the advisory committee on appointments will review applications and make recommendations to the city manager, which will then be presented to the city council for final confirmation. Applications from individuals not chosen will be kept on file for future vacancies.
Applications can be completed online and emailed to Nick Faust, assistant to the city manager, at faustn@ci.janesville.wi.us. Physical copies are also available at the city manager’s office in city hall, located at 18 N. Jackson St.
