JANESVILLE 鈥� Two members of the 糖心Vlog传媒 Police Department were honored in a promotion ceremony at 糖心Vlog传媒 City Hall on Friday, April 5.

Lt. Mark R. Ratzlaff and Lt. Joshua M. Norem were promoted to deputy chief on Monday, March 25.

Ratzlaff has been a member of the department for 27 years. According to a release, Ratzlaff has a bachelor鈥檚 degree from UW-Whitewater and has experience as a patrol officer, field training officer, a member of the honor guard and SWAT team, a sniper team leader, SWAT commander, range supervisor, patrol sergeant, street crimes unit sergeant, patrol lieutenant, investigations lieutenant, acting deputy chief of operations, safety committee member, accreditation manager, rapid response training instructor and fair and impartial policing instructor.

Norem has been a member of the department for almost 20 years and holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree from UW-Platteville. He has experience as a patrol officer, street crimes unit officer, gang investigator, swat team, swat team leader, patrol sergeant, community services sergeant, patrol lieutenant, investigations lieutenant, chronic nuisance premises team, commendation committee member, safety committee member, tactical officer and active threat and active shooter instructor.
