EVANSVILLE — The Becoming Better Neighbors group in Evansville will host a school board candidate forum on March 14 at Creekside Place, 102 Maple St. It was originally scheduled for Feb. 8 but was postponed due to the tornado.
“This public event aims to provide the community with the opportunity to engage directly with prospective ECSD Board Candidates,” a statement, released by group member Amy Floan, reads.
The forum will be from 6-7 p.m. It will begin with opening remarks from each candidate and it will be followed by a question-and-answer session when community members can pose questions to the candidates. Each candidate will be allotted equal time to respond to questions, “ensuring a fair and informative session for all attendees,” the release states.
The release goes on to state, “This forum serves as a crucial platform for the community to gain insights into the perspectives and plans of the candidates vying for positions on the ECSD School Board. Becoming Better Neighbors encourages all community members to attend and actively participate in shaping the future of our local education system.”
