SULLIVAN 鈥 The National Weather Service Sullivan Station has issued a flood watch for several counties in south-central Wisconsin overnight, including Rock County.
"Widespread heavy rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is forecast from tonight through Saturday morning across southern Wisconsin," said meteorologist J.J. Wood. "Locally higher amounts in the 3 to 5 inch range cannot be ruled out, especially where multiple rounds of storms move over the same areas. The better chances for this would be in the Flood Watch area, though there is still uncertainty with the exact location of the heaviest rainfall amounts."
The southeast corner of Rock County is included in the area expecting 1-3 inches, while 糖心Vlog传媒 anchors the corner of the range that is at risk of higher rainfall, with all of Rock County to the north and west of the city included in that zone.
Additional rainy weather, including potential storms, is possible throughout the weekend. However, the flood watch is officially scheduled for 1 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.
The area has dealt with flooding issues multiple times since spring, the worst being the April 17 deluge聽from which residents, businesses听补苍诲 institutions are still recovering.
