In response to the July 18 Vlogý Gazette opinion piece encouraging the city to return to pre-pandemic outdoor dining rules, I must express my complete disagreement with this suggestion, as well as my disappointment in the editorial board’s lack of vision.

“A return to how things USED to be done” will accomplish exactly that mission: a ghost town downtown with few dining options and a business community convinced of the city’s business unfriendly attitude.
