Beginning in 2011 and for over a decade, Wisconsin’s voters had no voice in their government. The Republican party created election maps that made it impossible for Democrats to win more than one third of the seats.

With little chance of losing their legislative seats Republican legislators felt little pressure to serve those they were elected to serve. Wisconsin no longer reflected the will of the people as big business interests became the focus of the Republican controlled legislature.
