I see Rock County would like to hire a DEI coordinator. We don't need one. We already have an HR dept. For those of you who don't know what DEI is, look it up. It doesn't stand for Dale Earnardt Inc.

I'm sure the federal government is either funding it fully or partially through grants, but whatever the amount is, it isn't worth the damage that will be done. I want confident, competent, and proficient men and women for the police department, the sheriff's department, and the schools or anywhere else. Not some agenda that says we must hire more this person or that who fits an agenda and not the proper role.
