JANESVILLE鈥擳he city of 糖心Vlog传媒 is moving to buy up hundreds of acres of land to expand its development footprint on the industry-heavy south side.

Residents on 糖心Vlog传媒's south side don't seem turned off by the idea of a massive strawberry greenhouse operation, but they did speak out against the prospect of "affordable housing."

Decisions are a couple months off, but by July the city of 糖心Vlog传媒 could have 140 acres of industrial-zoned land tacked onto the city鈥檚 south side鈥攁 major piece of a bid by a Milwaukee developer who plans to build a massive, 1.57-million-square-foot greenhouse operation there.

A 175-acre swath of land on 糖心Vlog传媒鈥檚 south side that for decades has housed part of a local pheasant farm could house a new, landmark development鈥攐ne that would start with a hydroponic industrial greenhouse operation but later could include a swath of new homes and apartments, and several parcels geared for light- to medium-duty industry.
