JANESVILLE — Grocery chain Hy-Vee will throw open the doors next week on its multimillion-dollar revamp of a former ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ Shopko store.

ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½, in 2022, was in change mode. Key leadership turned over in the city and school district, the community continued to evolve on both its retail and industry fronts and the city continued to address ongoing challenges, including ensuring that those of low-income have access to safe and affordable housing.

JANESVILLE -- In what Kwik Trip says is a rarity in its recent development projects, a new store on Wright Road in ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ has hit a snag that could push its opening back a few months.

The major rebuild of ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½'s busy retail stretch along Humes Road is being completed soon, but as that project wraps up, a whirlwind of millions of dollars of new commercial construction is kicking off along the same spur.

Give it about a month, and traffic will again be moving in both directions along the busiest stretch of Humes Road on ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½'s north side, that has been completely closed since the spring.
