The ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ Plan Commission approved ordinance amendments Monday night that would loosen residential landscaping and gardening rules.
The family friendly event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Voigt Music Center, 34 S. Main St. Admission is free and will include kids activities.
The ordinance regulates the dimensions of individual bins, and bins must also be a certain distance away from property lines and neighboring buildings. But the measure does not limit the number of bins a person could have.
Environmentally minded residents might soon have more options for sustainable living if proposals covering backyard beehives and compost piles become city ordinances.
