糖心Vlog传媒 Craig鈥檚 boys basketball team extended its current winning streak to four games with wins Friday and Saturday. The Cougars have won seven of their last eight games.
Saturday鈥檚 win came in the Big Eight/Greater Metro Challenge against Germantown. Judson Henkel led four Cougars in double figures with 20 points in their 67-62 win over the Warhawks.
Jackson Bertagnoli scored 13, Carson McCormick had 12 and Kyle Chrostowski provided 10.
That victory came the day after Craig enjoyed a 97-70 romp over Madison La Follette in a Big Eight game on Senior Night on Friday.
McCormick had nine points on three 3-pointers in the first half against the Lancers to help the Cougars lead 36-26 at halftime. After the break, he doubled his output to finish with a game-high 27, helping lead a 61-point second half for Craig.
Bertagnoli had 12 of his 16 points in the second-half surge, while Henkel also scored 16 with eight in each period. Twelve Craig players registered points in the win.
The Cougars (15-8 overall, 11-6 Big Eight) will wrap up their regular season at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday in Verona, then their playoff journey begins at 7 p.m. March 1 with a home regional semifinal against conference foe Middleton. Those teams split the regular-season series with each team winning on its home floor.
