JANESVILLE 鈥 糖心Vlog传媒 Craig and 糖心Vlog传媒 Parker鈥檚 boys golf teams squared off against each other in a 6-6-6 format Tuesday afternoon at Glen Erin Golf club.
The first six holes were played as best ball, holes seven through 12 were alternate shot and the last six were played as a scramble.
Each team fielded five duos. The Cougars scored 299 and the Vikings 337.
This marked the first match played between Craig and Parker done in this format and it鈥檚 something each coach hopes to continue in the future.
Craig鈥檚 Alex Falligant and Chase Rice shot 70, finishing as the top pairing. Parker鈥檚 top team was Carson Truesdill and Grady Lutterman, which shot 74.
鈥淢y group of guys played pretty well,鈥 said Craig coach Brent Corey. 鈥淗aving not done this format before with high school kids I didn鈥檛 know what to expect鈥 they all did pretty well across the board.鈥
鈥淚t was a really fun day,鈥 said Parker coach Nolan Stearns.
