Before Monday rolled around, I prepared myself for another slow day of Packers activity on the NFL’s first day of free agent negotiations.

We’ve been conditioned to expect that over the past several offseasons thanks to a combination of Green Bay typically eschewing big-name outside free agents in favor of its own development program and the fact the Packers had eight figures worth of salary cap space tied up in a single player.
