Griffin Jax allowed one run in six strong innings as the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Toronto Blue Jays 4-2. Jax gave up three hits and struck out five in his second quality start of the season. Victor Mesa Jr. drove in two runs, including the Rays' first in the second inning. Tampa Bay took the lead with a three-run sixth inning. George Springer gave Toronto a 1-0 lead in the first with an RBI groundout. Alejandro Kirk homered in the seventh. The Rays won their 52nd game this season with a lead of at least three runs.
