Q: I’m 71 years old and have noticed that very few passenger vehicles on the roads today smoke from the exhaust pipe anymore.

Years ago, it was very common to see cars, even relatively new models, smoking like a mosquito fogger. Why is that? I doubt it’s because of better maintenance nowadays.
