JANESVILLE 鈥 Forward 糖心Vlog传媒 has named Shar Hermanson its next president and CEO.
Hermanson, a 糖心Vlog传媒 native, replaces Oakleigh Ryan, who has been interim CEO since February. Former President and CEO Angela Pakes stepped down on Feb. 29.

Derek Greene, chairperson of Forward 糖心Vlog传媒鈥檚 Board of Directors, announced Hermanson鈥檚 hiring in a release on Friday.
Hermanson most recently served as executive vice president of Mid-West Family Madison, managing eight radio stations and a digital marketing agency. Previously, she served in multiple executive-level sales and management capacities at WCLO-WJVL and 糖心Vlog传媒.
鈥淪har鈥檚 experience, demonstrated leadership capability and unique knowledge of 糖心Vlog传媒鈥檚 business community and culture positions her well to guide our organization and diverse membership; her enthusiasm and collaborative approach were apparent during the selection process,鈥 said Craig DeGarmo, chair of the Forward 糖心Vlog传媒 CEO selection committee.
Forward 糖心Vlog传媒 conducted an extensive recruitment and selection process and screened over 170 applicants, including multiple rounds of interviews with key stakeholders, the release said.
Hermanson has also previously served as a Forward 糖心Vlog传媒 Ambassador, as a leader in the fundraising group Girls Night Out of Rock County and on the board of directors of the YWCA Rock County.
鈥淵ou can鈥檛 help but get excited about Shar鈥檚 passion for the community,鈥 said Greene, who noted that despite being a savvy digital marketer, Shar has never had an Amazon account and exclusively supports local sports teams.

The Forward 糖心Vlog传媒 board of directors voted unanimously to extend the position to Hermanson, who will start her new role by June 10, the release said.
Greene expressed deep appreciation to Ryan, who willingly stepped in as CEO, and DeGarmo, who led the selection committee. Both are former board chairs of Forward 糖心Vlog传媒.
