JANESVILLE 鈥 Members of the 糖心Vlog传媒 Patriotic Society braved a rainy, chilly Wednesday morning, placing American flags as is tradition in 糖心Vlog传媒 on the graves of veterans at Milton Lawns Memorial Park.

Michael Peterson, U.S. Army Desert Storm veteran, and Bob Maves, a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, started in the middle of the cemetery, consulting their list and examining each gravestone for a name, for where to place the next flag.
鈥淚 am putting flags on the veterans graves to honor them,鈥 Peterson said. 鈥淏eing a fellow veteran, I like to take this time to honor them; they deserve to be honored.鈥
Both men agreed that though the weather was dismal, those buried there may have endured much worse, so the task of putting flags in the ground in their honor was not a hardship.
Maves said the 糖心Vlog传媒 Patriotic Society has place flags ahead of Memorial Day for about 35 years. He noted that many longtime participants are getting up in years, and are hopeful that younger generations will start to join in.
鈥淎 lot of us are 65-years-old or even older,鈥 Maves said.
