A group of Evansville defenders including Harker Larsen (19) and Kade Moellenberndt (22) take down McFarland wide receiver Blake Bernhardt during a Rock Valley Conference game at Evansville High School.

The Bound Wisconsin Class of 2027 rankings series carried on with standout edge rushers becoming the focus, and one local star was amongst the names listed headed into the fall season.

Evansville鈥檚 Harker Larsen, who is receiving multiple Division I offers at the collegiate level, slotted in at No. 7 in the positional rankings after putting together a dominant 2025 outing for the Blue Devils.

Bound Wisconsin鈥檚 Class of 2027 Player Rankings are a series released by football writer Travis Wilson, ranking each position of the graduating class based on a combination of college potential, recruiting interest/offers, in-person evaluations, film evaluations, coach evaluations, stats, post-season awards and more.

We are swiftly approaching the end of Bound Wisconsin鈥檚 rankings, having already covered the offensive side of the ball as well as a handful of defensive position groups.

Larsen is coming off a junior campaign in which he led the Blue Devils in both sacks (6) and tackles for loss (12), helping to guide Evansville to claiming a co-Rock Valley Conference title after finishing tied with Delavan-Darien. Larsen was ultimately named RVC Defensive Player of the Year, while also grabbing First Team All-Conference honors for his efforts.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, Larsen鈥檚 frame, athletic ability and production have helped put the local product on the map for several Division I programs. Larsen already holds offers from Army and Air Force with a handful of Big Ten schools also starting to enter the mix to hopefully land the standout this coming National Signing Day.
