MILTON — The Milton Crescents fell 7-1 to the visiting Watertown Cardinals Friday at Schilberg Park in Rock River League baseball.
The Crescents (7-5) scored just one run, which came in the eighth inning. Owen Holcomb singled and Jack Ryan’s RBI single eventually scored him.
Facing a trio of Cardinals pitchers, the Crescents were held to five hits and committed a whopping six errors. The Cardinals recorded eight hits and had an error-free evening.
Watertown scored three runs in the third and tacked on three more in the seventh. Ethan Roeseler’s double in the third scored three runs, giving his team a 3-0 advantage. In the seventh, Watertown drew two walks and produced two hits as it scored three more runs to establish a 7-0 lead.
Roeseler went 3-for-4 with four RBIs. For Milton, Ryan went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
The Crescents next scheduled contest is against the Pioneers on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Schilberg Park.
