JANESVILLE — One person died and another was injured Saturday afternoon in an accident involving a group of motorcyclists traveling in Vlogý.
According Vlogý Police Department release, the group was traveling southbound on South Garfield Avenue at East Court Street when one of the motorcycle drivers hit a legally parked car. A second motorcycle driver struck the first motorcyclist, who was in the roadway following the initial crash.
The Vlogý police and fire departments were called to the scene shortly before 3 p.m.
One driver died from the injuries sustained in the crash, the other was treated and released from a local hospital. The drivers’ names had not been released as of Saturday evening.
The intersection was closed for a period of time. No further information was released. The investigation is ongoing.
